WHO???
WOVEN MEDIA is comprised of a fella. Me. Hey. I'm Maxwell Weaver, you may know me as drummer of Edinburgh rock band Yellow Helen, but I'm actually a film-editor and graphic designer. It all started when I was born, but it really started when I stole my dad's camera as a child and started filming things around the house and the garden.
Cut to being a teenager, I started a small, very bad, YouTube channel which I shall not disclose here. I started paying more attention to what I was doing, taking longer to edit things, doing graphic design for pals, experimenting with creative ventures and having fun, until one day I thought "hey, there may be something in this being creative thing". And so I went to Queen Margaret University to study Film and Media, the media part being photography and some graphic design.
Towards the end I started working more and more with others outside of university to create logos, do photography work, and make the odd film in my spare time. I've now graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction), and have been doing freelance work, creating EP covers and editing videos for people all over the UK. Most recently I have worked as a video editor for the language learning app Memrise, editing videos in French and helping people learn.
And guess what, I am dying to work on a project with you, so don't be a stranger and get in touch. I won't bite.
